8.00pm Monday 16 March 2009
Our March meeting will feature Alan Berliner's family documentary film
'Nobody's business', in which the film-maker director interviews his
reluctant, elderly father Oscar to elicit information about ignored or
forgotten family genealogy and history. This prize winning film is an
inventive and touching essay on memory and family roots in which archival
material as well as hitherto untapped resources of long-distance relatives
are utilized.
A discussion will be held after the screening.
IGS paid up members: admission free.
Non members: admission: NIS.20.
